The Autism Resource Specialist is available to help families identify and access resources that may be beneficial for their child and family. The Resource Specialist can help families get connected to necessary services providers who are also a good fit for the child, such as mental health therapists, applied behavior analysis providers, and outpatient therapies like occupational therapy, speech therapy, and physical therapy. The Resource Specialist can also provide guidance on navigating application processes for specialized services and government programs, including the Medicaid Family Supports Waiver and developmental preschool programs. In addition, the Autism Resource Specialist can help families advocate for the supports and services their child may need. The Autism Family Resource Center (AFRC) offers a library of print resources, including books, pamphlets, flyers, and handouts, as well as access to computers to assist families in finding information and resources.

Professional Education and Training
Autism and Behavior Services staff members are also available to provide support to other organizations in our community who would benefit from better understanding the unique needs of people who are autistic or otherwise neurodivergent, including organizations who employ neurodivergent staff members, businesses who would like to better support the needs of neurodivergent customers and visitors, and more.
