Mike Foddrill is the Executive Director of the Indiana Statewide Independent Living Council (INSILC). He has more than 23 years of professional experience in the disability community, with a career spanning nonprofit leadership, public policy, workforce development, and advocacy.
Prior to joining INSILC, Mike served as Executive Director of the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Greater Indiana, where he successfully guided the organization out of fiscal insolvency and led a strategic merger with Easterseals Crossroads. He also held the role of Associate Director at Tangram, where he was involved in Tangram Business Resourcing, a consulting initiative focused on helping employers improve the recruitment and retention of people with disabilities. In this role, Mike oversaw job coaching, Ticket to Work, and Vocational Rehabilitation programs.
Earlier in his career, Mike played a key role in the development and oversight of residential services for people with disabilities. He also worked as a Program Analyst at the IUPUI Center for Health Policy, conducting research on disability and health care policy issues. In addition, Mike served as Director of the Partners in Policymaking program, an advocacy training program for people with disabilities, and worked with Goodwill Industries providing job coaching, delivering disability-related training to businesses, and supporting accessibility improvements at WorkOne Centers.
Mike is actively engaged in community leadership and service. He previously served on the Board of Directors of The Arc of Indiana, including terms as Treasurer and President, and has also served on the Indianapolis Mayor’s Advisory Council on Disability and the Governor’s Council on Disability.
Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Xavier University and a master’s degree in Nonprofit Management from Indiana University. Outside of his professional work, he has practiced Tang Soo Do, a Korean martial art, for nearly 40 years and is an 8th Degree Black Belt Grand Master Instructor. Mike and his wife Amber have two children, Benjamin and Olivia.
