Business Lunch for Easter Seals Crossroads
Mark your calendars now for the 52nd Annual Business Lunch!
The Easter Seals Crossroads Business Lunch returns March 21 with an impactful theme - I CAN be an Olympian. Our speakers, Nick Springer and Emma Preuschl, medaled in the Beijing and London Paralympic games, and they are excited to share their stories of ability and accomplishment. Seats are still available!
Nick Springer - Rugby Player
Nick contracted a bacterial infection at age 14 - meningococcal meningitis - during summer camp. After he awoke from a medically induced comma, he found that both his arms and legs had been amputated; his legs from the knees down and his arms at mid-forearm.
Currently, Nick is a spokesperson for the National Meningitis Association and a consultant for Novartis. He lives between New York and Phoenix, where he plays rugby for the Phoenix Fusion.
Emma Preuschl - Rower
Emma has Erbs Palsy of the brachial plexus, a nerve injury from birth. It affects her muscle function and her ability to grasp, extend and reach with her left arm. She started rowing at 14; and later applied to college universities with rowing programs. She was recruited for the US National Paralympic team in her final year at Purdue University.
